Montreal Translators Meetup

This is a networking group for Montreal-area translators, revisors and interpreters. You are encouraged to join if you are a member of one ore more of the following organizations or websites: OTTIAQ (l’Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec), LTAC (Literary Translators' Association of Canada), Proz.com - Translatorscafe.com - Aquarius.net - Lantra-L newsgroup.

We'll be having meetups at cafés, restaurants and members' homes (potlucks) where we'll discuss issues such as language resources, self-promotion, dealing with difficult clients, and even drier topics like grammar, localization and translation theory:). If anyone would like to lecture on one of these issues or another related topic at a Meetup event, we'd be happy to hear from you.

NOTE: this group is NOT intended for unilingual editors/proofreaders/writers, speech pathologists, language learners or teachers, or linguists (in the field of linguistics, i.e. neuro-linguistics, bilingualism, language acquisition, etc.). If there are no other Meetup groups to join covering these interests, please consider forming your own.
