napa trip

Napa trip so far has 4 people going.  Hal, Brigitte, Nancy are going in my car.  If anyone else wants to go on the day trip, they can meet us at Mason Cellars, 741 1st St. in Napa around 11 a.m.

Then we'll be stopping to pick up lunch or dine at the Oxbow Public Market, 2180 Jefferson St., Napa.

Next we're heading to Sutter Home Winery at 100 Main St., St. Helena.  There might be other wineries here as I haven't been to St. Helena for a while.

Heitz Cellars is next at 436 St. Helena Highway.

We might change the order of the wineries once we're in St. Helena.

A must stop I've got to see is Sattui Winery, 1111 White Lane, St. Helena.  Outside food and wine is not allowed.  Wine tasting used to be free but now is $10 but apparently they serve appetizers and we could browse their store or relax on the grounds.

I tried to find free wine tastings.  Raymond winery charges $500 a year and you can sample wines with 3 friends in a red brocaded room with billiards table/pinball table.  Unfortunately, that's not in my retirement budget so we won't stop there.  http://www.raymondvineyards.com/redroom.html
