Triad Poetry Meetup is network of poets, spoken word artist, musicans and other types of writers who want to share their gift with other lovers of the creative written arts. It provide avenues large and small where people can meet in a family gathering type setting without fear of their words or talents being critiqued harshly.

Triad Poetry Meetup encourages community service activities which allows members to lift their words off of the printed page. Poetry with a Purpose was created to allow members opportunity to do just that if that is one of their desires. Participation in Poetry with a Purpose is not a requirement to be a member and no membership fee will ever be charged.

Some functions do require payments to attend but those money are collected apart from Triad Poetry Meetup. Any member or members can promote a paid event through Triad Poetry Meetup if it exposes more of the community that Triad Poetry Meetup serves to poetry in all of its many forms.

The message board allows to post their poetry and be involved with the group regardless of where they live because Triad Poetry Meetup understands that everyone is not comfortable sharing their poetry in a group setting. We are a creative family and as such will all that we can to accommodate the needs of our members.
