Celebrate El Dia de los Niños/El Dia de los Libros

Saturday, April 30 from noon to 6 pm

Center City Park – Downtown Greensboro

Pet a llama, dance the mambo, get your face painted, and enjoy Libio Crafts at the third annual citywide celebration of El Dia de los Niños/El Dia de los Libros (Children’s Day/Book Day). Award-winning author and poet Gary Soto will give a special poetry reading. This international celebration of childhood and bilingual literacy promotes “bookjoy.” Entertainment all afternoon featuring jazz with Gabriel Alegria Afro-Peruvian Sextet and West End Mambo!

This event is a part of the annual Poetry GSO festival and is expected to be one of the largest celebrations of Latino culture in Greensboro.
