Triangle Creative Coders Message Board › Info about the first Triangle Creative Coders meetup!
The first Triangle Creative Coders (aka Tricoders) meetup is next Tuesday, May 20th, at 7pm. We will meet in the Teaching and Visualization Lab at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library on NCSU's Centennial Campus. We hope you will join us!
For more information and directions, please visit the library site:
Please note that there is free parking available, in the evening, directly across the street from the library.
The agenda for the meeting is the following:
If you're coming to the meetup and you have something cool to show, we'd love to see/hear it. Let me know so that I can make sure we have the room set up for you. The video/audio outputs in the room all are HDMI, so if you need an adapter to get from your computer's video/audio out to HDMI, please let me know and I'll try to arrange it beforehand.
The Teaching and Visualization lab is an interesting room that has 270 degree project capabilities. The technical details are here:
Sadly, only a Windows server works with the 270 degree projection, and software has to be uploaded to it in advance (or available to download via email). Library staff seem willing to install applications we might like to use, so we can discuss how we might want to take advantage of that in the future.
In the meantime, the server does have Processing on it. I created (and tested) and simple sketch that takes advantage of the entire screen. If you are interested, you can use the sketch as a template. You'll find it here:
Please let us know if you have any questions! We hope to see you there!
