What is your favorite Jazz group/musician and/or club in the area?

Here are a few jazz performers; Gato Barbieri, Diana Krall, Larry Carlton, Los Angel-es Incas, oldies like Nat King Cole, Light jazz, ethnic ex. Gypsy Kings, Brazilian, Latino-Salsa, R&B, Soul, Folk, Rock, Alternative, Reggae, Alternative, New Age, Pop. I enjoy finding great artist due to my lack of finding good radio stations. I have only been to a few night clubs in Raleigh. I enjoy listening and dancing to all forms of music, I find it to be very soothing to my soul.

How did you find out about this group?

I was looking under the heading of "Spiritual Groups and events." It is difficult making new friends and I love all types of people. I find that spiritual people are less offence meant. It has just been my experience that people are afraid of what they don't understand. I have no prejudices against persons or groups. I am a heterosexual and have many friends that are homosexual. Live and let live is my motto. I found a non denominational church that welcomes all religions and a person there told me to search spiritual groups. I don't discuss religion or politics unless asked and I am always respectful to all. Your the first group I joined so far.

Are you new to the area?

I bought a home in 2007, yet I traveled so often for about four years, due to family needs. In 2010, I had a few injuries that kept me home. The past two and a half years I've stayed close to home. I really want to know all the great things about Raleigh.

Hi, my name is Jami Pina. I am relatively new to Raleigh. I chose this great city for my eventual retirement home. I love people, music and nature. My passion is traveling and trying new things. I enjoy movies, good conversations, and laughter.
