Getting sportsmen and women to Raleigh to voice our support for the Clean Water Management Trust Fund and other conservation programs is one of our primary objectives this year – and your help is needed!

Sportsmen and women have a singular and powerful voice in the legislature right now – these funds that help protect places like Wilson’s Creek, North Mills River, and East Fork Headwaters of the French Broad are at risk . Our voice can make or break the effort to keep these conservation programs alive.
Can you attend? Can you help find someone from TFF who can attend with you? Triangle folks – can you help make sure our voice is heard?

PS – if you have not been to Raleigh to meet with elected officials before, it really is a good opportunity to have expert help (not just me!) in doing these meetings and talking about our issues. The officials are always happy to talk to constituents, and the reception at the end is sponsored by a national sportsmen’s group, so we will be among friends.

Visit your elected officials to urge their support for funding and policies that support land and water protection across North Carolina.
Agenda:
8-9 am: Registration, NC State Archives Building, 109 East Jones Street.
9 am: Lobby Day Briefing, NC State Archives Building auditorium, followed immediately by visits to legislators.
11:30 am-1 pm: Ice Cream Social, Legislative Building Portico.
3 pm-5 pm: Government Affairs panel discussion, NC State Archives building auditorium. Lobby Day de-brief and state policy update, including discussion of Land for Tomorrow's new report, “Securing NC’s future: A Five-Year Plan for Conserving our Land and Water”; federal policy update; and discussion of building relationships with elected officials.
