I would like to thank Michael and Teksystems for allowing me the opportunity to present. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was impressed with the turnout despite presenting on a niche topic like Drupal.

For those who missed this, it was far more of a critical look at the (mis)conceptions around Drupal than a deep dive in to Drupal itself, and I think that was good. Allen was almost an 'anti-evangelist', yet still held firm at the end that he's continuing to use Drupal and does still advocate it, but under more stringent guidelines than (I presume) he used to. One can only imagine the respect for Acquia if they took similar steps in their own marketing material, although what it would do for their marketshare is not what they want. Drupal seems stuck in a situation where many of the advocates don't entirely know why they're advocating it, and end up providing their clients with something that doesn't fit their needs. It's nothing new - it happens in every industry - but it both gives Drupal a bad name and simultaneously inflates their usage numbers and community (happens in wordpress and other platforms too).

Really wish I could see this, but I have a conflict. Mike, any chance you will record? Video or audio? Slides available?

Sorry everyone, I have other plans that night.
