[tripug] indieconf conference announcement

Hello all:

I made an announcement about this at the last meeting, but not everyone makes it to the meetings :)

indieconf - for independent and freelance web professionals - is happening November 13 in Raleigh. ?I realize that's a little far out in the future for some of you, but it's really not :) ?Whether you're a developer, designer, or someone in between who's freelancing right now, or just thinking about it, indieconf will have something for you. ?Besides some talks on web technologies you should know about, we'll have sessions on marketing, legal, financial and other 'business' aspects of managing your freelancing efforts.

Why attend?
Between the sessions, you'll learn?

* how to find work and get paid
* how to avoid getting ripped off
* how to market yourself
* how to price your services
* what coming web technologies you should be aware of
* plus much more

Additionally, this will be a great networking event to meet regional freelancers with complementary skills.

More info
========== - register today :) - more to be announced in the next week - more finalized in the next week - those helping make this happen (more announced in the coming weeks)

We're making final topic/session selections this week, so if there's a topic you'd like to see presented at the conference, let me know ASAP. ?

Lastly, please help spread the word about this conference to friends/colleagues. ?We're not an OSCON or BlogExpo, and don't have a large marketing budget. ?I'm relying on word of mouth to help get this out as much as possible.

If you work at a company that might be interested in helping to sponsor the conference, please let me know that as well.
