Cool. ?I meant to mention it last night, but it slipped my mind.

It wasn't my cup of tea back in 2003, but I presume it's improved since then Zend Studio wasn't all that hot back in 03 either - usable, but not great - and it's improved much since then.

I would like to throw in ?NuSphere PhpED (currently using v. 5.9) have the Pro version on sale for $89 thru Nov 15.?

It is tremendous. ?I moved from Dreamweaver about 3 years ago and have never once looked back.?

Just a quick list of some topics discussed tonight:

Editors people are using:
netbeans (yay!)
Zend Studio 7

MySQL mgt tools
Mysql GUI tools -

We discussed the websitespark program briefly ( - email me privately if you need more details on it) and the state of PHP on Windows (how stable is it? (very) - why would people use it (to stay in the MS world if it's familiar, etc))

We also had discussed the state of conferences - PHP-specific conferences, and more general development conferences.? Is there value in attending?? How much?? Why attend?? If you missed tonight's event, you missed the answers to all these questions!? :)

Lastly, to the new visitors tonight (Dominic and Jason), I apologize if I came on a bit strong.? I've definitely got my own views on things, but I was more headstrong this evening than I normally might be, and I hope that didn't put you off.? Jason had initially contacted me about possibly presenting a PHP topic, which I'd love to have done, and Dominic (and everyone else!) you're more than welcome to present if you've got something you'd like to share.
