I'm Mark Hutchinson, the communications officer for the RTP Delphi Interest Group. CodeGear (a Borland subsidiary) just announced a RAD development environment for PHP. On April 18th, CodeGear will come to the RTP Radisson (Governors Inn) as part of their national roadshow. The CodeGear rep, Anders Ohlsson, will do his roadshow presentation 8:30-11-30 AM. Also attending will be Gary King, CodeGear National Channel Sales Manager.
Since the third Wednesday of the month is our usual RTP-DIG meeting date, we negotiated to add two more hours in the RTP Radisson space reservation to hold our user group meeting (11:30-1:30). This will be time for Anders to get technical, go into depth, and answer specific questions from the attendees. CodeGear just released two exciting new products, Delphi2007 for Win32 and Delphi for PHP.
We are going to make as much of this event as possible, including sponsoring food for the user group attendees. We'd like you to join us at both the launch event and the RTP-DIG user group meeting. As such, it is very important to register for the morning session (http://dn.codegear.co.... It will ensure you have a seat and help me estimate how much food we might need. Also, please help us spread the word of this event amongst your TriPUG user group community (and TriLUGers and other PHP developers you might know within driving distance). I'm not a LAMP specialist, so you are my only links to developers with potential interest in a RAD PHP tool and proximity to RTP.
In the mean time, here are some Delphi for PHP links to pique your interest:

(Introduction to Visual Component Library for PHP (VCL for PHP) webcast presentation by Jose Leon)
Remember, you must register for this free event to be guaranteed a seat. (http://dn.codegear.co...)
