This group is designed for women in the Triangle area who are interested in learning and sharing more about self defense.

The FBI estimates that 1 out of 3 women in the United States will be the victim of an assault at some point in their lives. That's a scary statistic! There are only two persons guaranteed to be at the scene of an assault: the assailant and the woman he is attacking. It is time to give yourself the tools you need to protect yourself should the situation arise!

I wanted to create a group where we could continue to share self defense and safety awareness events with women in the Triangle area. Even more, we want to be able to help women find other great programs being offered throughout North Carolina!

So if you are interested in learning basic self defense principles...

... or if you teach self defense programs of your own...

Classes offered by the self defense program I teach with are indicated by "BWSD" - Bushido Women's Self Defense. My friends and I have been offering our programs since 2003. We have developed a simple & effective program, ranging from Basic/Intro courses to classes tailored to specific subjects. Our classes are NOT martial arts classes - they have been designed specifically FOR women and are taught ONLY to women!

SafeSkills - These classes are offered in Durham by a program of the same name.

3D Self Defense - These classes are offered in Apex and are taught by an Apex police officer.
