Heads Up! Movie Screening - Seeing Through the Fence

Heads Up! Movie Screening - Seeing Through the Fence

Details

This is a reschedule due to low attendance because the last screening was during one of our many recent snow/ice events!

The movie is still free, will still start about 7:30 and there will still be free munchies offered. As always a Heads Up! event is not an official meetup, but info about an event you might be interested in. If someone would volunteer to be point person, then we could make it an official event. Either way, consider heading out to enjoy the event.

Every Monday local watering hole (and host of the monthly vegan brunch) hosts a movie night. In January the movies feature a food theme. Head out to the Pinhook on January 10th to see the documentary Seeing Through the Fence by local vegan/documentarian/musician extraordinaire Eleni Vlachos. These screenings are free and feature drinks specials as well as free popcorn and free pool.

Seeing Through The Fence (2008) – Durham, NC filmmaker Eleni Vlachos takes us on a journey through the US and Greece. “Seeing through the Fence explores the role of food in modern society and our connection, or lack of connection, with both the processes and animals from which our food originates.” Bring your favorite vegan dish or just try some of the great vegan snacks made my the filmmaker herself!
