At least since I was 10 years old. When my parents got divorced it was exacerbated.
Putting gold stars on my calendar every day that I don't pick, and setting goals for number of days in a row that I can avoid doing it. Staying busy. Going to the bathroom with the light off so I can't look in the mirror. Finally, trying to reduce stress in positive ways.
Sharing advice and experiences in a safe, positive environment. Meeting people who understand what I'm going through, because it's something I can't really talk about with anyone, and it weighs on me every day.
Hi! I'm a 22 year old college student, majoring in International Studies at a University in NYC. I have so many interests, including music, languages, dancing, and travel. I want to get control of my unhealthy behavior.
