Part one of three months of talks on the Open Data Movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_data). This month Colin Copeland (http://github.com/copelco) of Caktus Group (http://www.caktusgroup.com/) talks about Django Open Data Catalog (http://github.com/azavea/Open-Data-Catalog), the basis for opendatadurham.org (http://opendatadurham.org/). As always, spontaneous lightning talks of ten minutes or less on other topics are also welcome. Anything you've learned about Python, no matter how trivial, can be a lightning talk. There's plenty of parking at Caktus and we can walk to nearby after-meeting watering holes.
Don't forget TriPython's ultra-low-cost Python Network and Web Programming Workshop (http://trizpug.org/boot-camp/pywebpw13/) August 5-9 at UNC-Chapel Hill. Sign up now. (http://trizpug.org/boot-camp/pywebpw13/register)
