Let's celebrate Valentines Day with the Wild Flowers.
I have it on good authority the wildflowers are starting to put on a show. So, let's go have a look.
Distance: 6 miles
Elevation Gain: 1100 feet
Total Time: plan on 3 to 4 hours
No dogs please.
Directions : From Tangerine, travel north on Dove Mountain Blvd and take a right at the traffic circle at the end of the road toward the Ritz Carlton. Let the Gatekeeper know you will be hiking. He will tell you where the trailhead parking is. Please give yourself plenty of time to get there. The drive up Dove Mountain Blvd is further than most people anticipate.
We will depart the TH Parking lot at 10:30.
This hike will be along the Wild Burro Trail to the Lower Javelina Trail and back down to the
Burrow trail. Continuing on the Burro trail we will ascend to Alamo Springs for lunch with stops at Clayton House ruins and Canyon overlook.
We will then return via Alamo Springs, Connector and Burro Trail.
