Some very good information. Covered alot of territory that was very beneficial. It definitely looks like epublishing is the way to go for most of us. On a side note; I have a webzine called InnerSins that is having a contest for unique kind of story style called Cross Words. First prize is at least $75 and their is no entry fee and the deadline is August 1, 2013. You can find out more if you are interested at www.innersins.com. I wasn't sure if I should mention it to everyone but since The Society of Southwestern Authors announced their contest at the meeting, I figure it's fair game.

It is a story in the form of clues in a crossword puzzle only the numbers and the clues tell the story and there are no answers exactly, just the story. You can see examples at our website, www.innersins.com.

If you're a writer in Tucson and didn't attend, you missed out. Relevant information that was progressive and up to the minute. "Very 2013" as Pablo, our presenter put it, in regard to Crowdfunding but I'm borrowing the quote for tonight's presentation. It had everything I was looking for and more. I'm an Aussie in an American sea so much to learn. I felt "write" at home and what ever is coming in the future with this group is bound to be practical and useful.

G-R-E-A-T introduction to the grass roots of what's happening in Tucson's writer's world and to see so many writers involved. The information Pablo shared was GOLDEN, so thank you, and I am a newbie to Tucson and to the possibilities America holds for a writer... there are so many leads to follow up from the presentation and the $2 seems a mild mannered investment considering what opportunities are out there. I'll be updating my profile, as recommended and can't wait to work some of you in the future with my very reasonable editing, book cover design/custom photography and Story Brain Storming skills. :-)

I enjoyed the meeting. I learned much new info that will help me with my self-publishing. The links to other services are extremely helpful.

    Hi Tucson Writers
Here's my byline on a piece published in the July issue of Natural Awakening http://www.naturaltucson.com/TUCS/July-2013/Vibration-at-Heart-of-Sound-Shifting/
The monthly operates on the Associated Press Style Guildelines. The topics I am writing for NA are advertiser profiles. Being the magazine it is, the advertisers are wo-wo sorts. My challenge is to present a coherent profile in an interesting voice.
Out of the six articles published I consider this to be the best example of my writing voice.
Read it and give me feedback.
    Thanks,
    Dale Bruder

Actually downtown venue is not difficult as parking IS available for free on the street after 5. I think this is a good central location as we come from the Green Valley area so we are traveling against any early evening traffic leaving the downtown area.
