Hi, name is Alex. I am 28 years old and live in Leeds. My interests include graphic novels, fantasy and sci-fi. I also enjoy sports, making art (Outsider influenced) and take an interest in Renaissance Art. 

I am also a big Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan. Although I watched Buffy in my youth it is only now that I am fully appreciating the series. I am currently on season 3 and heavily engrossed. I got the critical reading of the series which discusses the concepts, characters, settings... I find the series really interesting, the characters, the genre, the action, the comedy, the supernatural, the relationships, Sunnydale... 

I am also a 90's kid at heart, I have a great sense of nostalgia for the show. I like to unwind with a Buffy book every now and then, and it struck me the other day in Starbucks (it is the best coffee store)... how awesome it would be to have some people sat around talking about our favorite episodes, seasons, characters, books... I like the idea of having a group of like-minded decent people to sit and share ideas and thoughts regarding Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Vampires, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi. 

I want people to join this group who essentially want to be here. That is enough for me. I want this group to be inclusive and welcoming. I want a space where people can be themselves and discuss their interest in Buffy... Fantasy, and Sci-Fi. 

People who are fans of Buffy or take an interest in Fantasy or Sci-Fi should check this group out. I like the idea of keeping this an intimate group, I suspect not too many people will be into Buffy based in Leeds... There is a Buffy group in America (Portland), I think it would be so great to make contact (I already have lol) but as a collective group. There is also a Buffy group in London... But, of all the places to find a Buffy Meetup Group in little old Leeds? That really excites me. 

In terms of the 'purpose' of the group? I like to think it is about getting like minded people together, to enjoy each others company, and to get to know some more about peoples perspectives on Buffy. It would also be great to share our thoughts on fantasy and sci-fi pre/ post Buffy.
