Frisbee Group Super Bowl & Skiing

Hey Everyone,

Three things.

1) Super Bowl Sunday we'll be playing in Jamie's barn in Batavia around 1 PM, and then watching the game there whenever it starts. Unless we get a significant number of RSVPs by Friday, we'll be canceling our typical Sunday Busse game.

2) If you work in / near Downers Grove and are interested in playing a lunchtime pickup game Wednesdays and/or Fridays, check out some details here -

3) Mike Ruddick (aka: "Tall Alex's Dad") is trying to set up a ski trip, and has invited everyone from the group to join him. Now, he did things right and listed the day, time, details, cost, and made sure it didn't interfere with frisbee. This is a model invitation. To respond, shoot him an email at - [address removed] - I'm currently on the fence because I might already have plans. But I've never been skiing before and definitely am interested.

I am trying to organize a group outing at Wilmot Mountain for Saturday February 18th and was wondering if anyone with the frisbee group might be interested. Wilmot is located just across the border in Wisconsin, about an hour drive. You can check it out at It is a small hill, but has 25 runs and 8 chair lifts. None of the runs are too difficult, but it can be quite fun for good skiiers as well as novices.
There is a special group rate (minimum 15 people) of $33 (inclusive of ski equipment and lift ticket), $43 (for snowboarding), and $23 (for just the lift ticket) for the session from 3:30 to closing at 11:00. If you are renting equipment, there is also a $10 refundable deposit. Lessons are included if desired. The slopes are lighted so there is no problem staying late. I was thinking that people could leave right after our Saturday game.
As the organizer, I would have to pay for everyone in the group upon arrival. I would need to know soon whether people are interested in going to know whether we would have enough to meet the minimum. I plan on asking other people as well. Ideally I could collect money in advance.
Please send this email to the group and lets see how it goes

This Saturday should be pretty warmish, so good weather for all you fair-weather frisbee-ers.

See you on the field,
