We will almost definitely be at the Higgins Entrance for this, due to limited space at Golf.
This is one of the few events we put on that we ask people to bring either food to share or $5 cash. John (& an assistant to-be-determined) will be heading out to go grab additional food with these funds, to make up for whatever picnic staples are lacking.
There should be one or two grills going, and past holidays we've had some non-ultimate games going, like volleyball / whiffleball / etc.
When we do play at the Higgins entrance (which we had to this past Sunday, due to no parking / space to play), we need to try and avoid the hill, since there's no grass in the middle of the field. It's deceptive, and looks like there's grass, but there really isn't. I think it's best to try and play either up front, or on the right by the treeline past the pavillion (or even by the pavillion, but that will likely be taken already).
Lastly, if you want to play in a relaxed (yet slightly competitive) organized atmosphere, UltimateChicago has summer league registration open right now. If you want to sign up, check it out here - www.ultimatechicago.org
See you on the field,
