I just wanted to reiterate Mr. Nagel's comments as they related to field conditions. The fields are going to be wet and muddy for the next few weeks. Please bring shoes other than cleats so that we do not destroy the fields we have worked so hard to preserve.
Also, it has been our policy not to play on any fields that provide a wind break (i.e., fields against a tree line) unless (1) the field is actually providing a wind break at the time AND (2) the field is completely dry. This is especially true of the field near the highway. That field provides a wind break when the wind is from the west and the wind is very often from the west. We have played on that field when the wind is 20+MPH from the west and we have almost no wind. Let's not use that field until it is completely dry and then only when it is actually providing the wind break. If we destroy that field now we will be playing on dirt as hard as concrete during the summer.
See you on the field (but probably not today).
