Tarek Pertew has been an entrepreneur since 2006. Tarek is the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Uncubed, a platform that helps people succeed in digital. Tarek is also the founder of NYC Footy, a NYC based adult soccer league.
Before Tarek's current ventures, he co-founded a couple of startups in the hiring space: Referio, a crowd-sourcing referral hiring platform and MyWorkster a platform that connected alumni with students, ultimately evolving into a national job fair business.
Tarek has been featured as an expert in startups and employment in a number of publications, including the NY Times, Forbes, CNN, CBS, About.com and a jobs expert for Newsday. Tarek serves as an advisor to a few organizations, including the United Kingdom Trade & Investment (UKTI), The University of Virginia, and The Mountaintop Program, a new non-profit initiative to inspire high-schoolers to pursue creative careers.
Tarek enjoys soccer (loyalties to Liverpool FC), time with family & friends, and travel with his wife, Thais (a branding designer specializing in packaging) and daughter, Calila (a baby).
