To those who have joined and remained an interested observer of this Meetup site, we thank you for your interest in the Constitution and liberty. C.A.N. D.O. began as an effort to provide direction, education, and leadership to various individuals who had become involved in the Ron Paul presidential quest. Many newcomers to the freedom movement were energized and motivated to action by the Paul candidacy...and yet, unfortunately, they lacked comprehensive understanding of the problems we face as well as the solutions that must be pursued and undertaken. Predictably, the Campaign for Liberty has lost much of the lustre and vitality that marked its beginning. A professional class of "leadership" has evolved and it is probably safe to say the best days of CFL are in the rearview mirror.
Two years ago I was attempting to impart understanding as to the fundamental necessities of building a successful patriot endeavor. On July 4th, 2008 C.A.N. D.O was launched in conjunction with the unveiling of a 7 Point Strategy that would be essential for success. Regrettably...it has been very difficult to generate interest and support among those who claim to love liberty and the Constitution. The eat, meet, and retreat syndrome is alive and well, and very few truly want to lay all on the line. Although the progress has at times been tortuously slow, accomplishments are being made in all seven areas of essential import. Publishing, broadcasting, high profile events, political action, jury education, legal preparation, and security concerns are all being addressed to varying degrees. It is undeniable that more people today are suspicious and hostile toward abusive and corrupt government than at any time in recent history. The opportunity is significant wherein concerned and frightened Americans can be influenced in the direction of hard core truth. More than ever, we must put our shoulder to the wheel and push our noble cause forward. We will undoubtedly continue to face all manner of attack and opposition, even from among those who claim to be committed to the Constitutional cause. We must not grow weary in well-doing but instead, fortify ourselves for the greatest challenges that lay before us.
On April 15th, 2010 I announced my candidacy for the U.S. Senate in a stinging oration given across the street from the Federal Courthouse in Pensacola. Two weeks later, on April 29th I filed my formal paperwork in Tallahassee to ensure that I will be on the state-wide ballot as an Independent candidate. I invite you to observe and involve yourselves in what may well become a major outlet for the unleashing of powerful and dramatic truth. We will endeavor to resume a more activist posture through C.A.N. D.O. in the coming months as we pull out all the stops in our drive to impede the successes of the New World Order.
