USS Drakonia - SFI Star Trek Fan Club - Louisville Chapter Message Board › Operations - October Report
On September 21, we had a Star Trek movie night at the Ausplands' house. We had a cookout, played Star Trek the role playing game, and watched Star Trek episodes. There were 17 in attendance, this is the most people that have come together at one place for a USS Drakonia event since the inception of the chapter. We are growing and having a blast!
On October 13, we had our regular monthly meeting. There were 4 in attendance including our Chief Science Officer who called in on speaker phone. Matt was unable to attend, so we postponed the Star Trek RPG until next time. The members present discussed the upcoming costume party planned for October 26, Star Trek episodes and the upcoming Star Trek Renegades. It was decided that we would have a Toys for Tots drive and members should bring new, unwrapped toys to our November and December meetings. Jan suggested that we change our meeting location to the library in St. Mathews, but this will have to be discussed with a larger contingent of the membership. She is going to put the suggestion on our meetup page. RJ suggested that members try the online RPG at www.star-fleet.com. Finally we discussed having a holiday dinner at KT's restaurant and then walking across the street to Jim Porter's Good Time Emporium for some live music and dancing on December 14.
Jan Sleigh was appointed Chief of Communications earlier, but it did not make it into the September report.

Scott and the rest of the members;
We are sorry that we were out of town on our family vacation to Arizona and then to Houston on the way home. We are also sorry to say that we ran into some Cardassian infiltrators who sabotaged our transportation on the way to Arizona! We only made it as far as Tulsa, Oklahoma and had to stop and make repairs to the warp drive and the shield generators on the shuttle we commandeered for the trip out west. We spent a few days traveling up and down the old Route 66 the old crossroads of America route and made the best of a bad situation.
Our pilgrimage to the Gallileo 7 ShuttleCraft will have to wait until next years' trip out west. Any takers on joining our cross country trip? This time no camper, just a rental car and hotel rooms along the way and when we arrive in Arizona.
Our next monthly meeting in November will be at the downtown library or where?
Please remember guys and gals, our home IS ALWAYS OPEN TO ANYONE for anytime, any type of Trek related meetings or festivities.
We are excited about the Toys For Tots event and will definitely donate for this great cause.
We are also excited about the upcoming weekends' party! We have our TOS costumes all set and are so excited to be sharing some great time, conversation and some RPG as well, we hope!
Until next weekend everyone, hope this communique finds everyone in good health and happiness.
LLAP, Keith and April Auspland
