Thanks for your input Mark! You need to thank Valérie for pointing towards this interesting book!

Too bad the book is not available on Amazon as a Kindle E-Book... :-(

The eBook Bundle has a mobi file for Kindle. (I am not experienced with Kindle but those are the directions the Read Me file gives for Kindle.)

@Memi: This is true, but I mostly read books not only on the tablet, but also on the phone. That's where the amazon-synchronisation-feature comes in handy.

the liip office is always an option. let me know if you want to meet there.
I still don't know if I can attend - having a newborn is quite exhausting in the evenings...

We also can meet at Ginettas new office, if Memi can't participate. Shall I schedule an event?

My apartment is always open for a UX meeting, but Hedingen is probably a bit far to travel for some folks.

@Memi & Valérie: Great to have so many locations to choose from! I think any of the two places would be great. We haven't been to any of the two if I am correct.

    I set up a doodle:

The doodle ends next Friday (11.11.11), so be quick!

Okay, we have a date: Monday 9. January 2012, so still enough time to read it over christmas and new year.
Now we need a place. Memi? Valérie? (First come, first served)

Cool, already 17 people signed up for the meeting! Thank you Valérie for providing space at the Ginetta office. I am already excited to check out the office.

@all: Just wanted to remind you what you should write down and bring with you for the meeting, that will get the discussion going:
2 things in the book that really struck a chord; and 1 thing you either hated, disagreed with; or don't understand.

I'm sorry to say that I couldn't read the book until today. Just started my new job and moved to a new flat. So unfortunately I can't join you tonight. Hope I can make it next time...

    Have fun!

Hi Matthias, having read the Book is helpful, but not mandatory! I'm sorry that you are under stress - you are welcome at any time.

Mobile First is possible to read till tonight. At least the closing summaries of each chapter. ;-)

Dear all, thanks for coming yesterday night at our office @ginetta. It was a pleasure to have you! Two of you have forgotten their books. So please tell me your name and address. I'll send you the books back.

Hi all. Here?s my follow-up to our discussion about the difficult process of dealing with complex data and deciding what content to cut off.
I remembered Eirik and Gerrys presentation at #uxce11: "Design for the Toilet" at the UX(Bar)Camp Europe - http://j.mp/zKzuMH
BTW You should attend this conference

"If a Norwegian man is sitting on the toilet reading the news on his iPhone, is he mobile?"

Actually the popularity of yesterdays bookclub and amount of attendees are breathtaking. We had to split up and discuss in two groups about the book - probably an anti-social decision we took yesterday. Sorry to say, that I missed to force the groups to give a summary of their opinions and discussion. On the other hand: most guys of our group agreed, that there is no "outstanding enlightenment" after reading. Keep the pace and suggest your book to discuss. I’m in!

Awesome book club meeting, great discussion on mobile, met interesting people, fantastic meetup.

It is a good read for people which are new to the subject or even for customers. People get sensibilize that there is not just a desktop view for their Website. Professionals wont get their needs out of that book.
