Hey, thank you so much for joining and/or considering to join UX Book Club, Boston!

I'm Jason Robb, the organizer of the group. I started this group because I love design and I think other people do too, whether they know it or not. I want to share that passion with others, encourage discussion, and build a healthy long-lasting community.

ABOUT THE BOOK CLUB

The UX Book Club (www.uxbookclub.org) is a world-wide initiative to get people talking about UX design. We're the Boston "chapter." The first meeting we had was in March of 2009 and we've been meeting almost every month since then.

We meet once a month, read a book or series of articles then discuss the good and the bad. We meet at the Microsoft NERD center near Kendall Square. We haven't provided food in the past, but I'm looking into getting us some sponsors.

AUDIENCE

People who attend are designers, developers, marketers, and other web-savvy folks. (We've even had a school teacher and a lawyer show up once. The crowd varies with the book.) Typically we get 5-15 people to meet and talk for about 2 hours.

Dogpatch labs, near Kendall Sq., has offered to host this meetup. I'm working out the details. Things are looking good though. Stay tuned, I'll ping everyone once it's set.
