Colin and Kelly will share two brief SharePoint updates - one about InfoPath, and one about resolving a SharePoint Help error.

“The Future of Full Trust Solutions: Migration and Upgrade”

As an MCT, MCPD (SharePoint Developer 2010), and SharePoint Server MVP since 2011, Shai Petel has been designing and developing SharePoint solutions since version 2001. He has vast experience working with dedicated in-house teams; introducing them to SharePoint and helping plan, design and implement SharePoint solutions.

If you use FTC (full trust code) solutions from earlier versions of SharePoint, and you plan to upgrade to 2013, you will want to come to this session.

Shai will cover step-by-step work plan to upgrade your solutions without duplicating any code, supporting multiple versions of SharePoint with one-code base. He will discuss upgrade steps, supporting full or deferred site collection upgrade in your 2013 farm all without breaking your existing solutions.

He will demonstrate practices he uses with his in-house team at KWizCom, and show how they support thousands of customers’ upgrades and also share some free tools they created to do the job.

His unique insight working for an ISV delivers a different point-of-view that most developers benefit from. He has also worked very closely with Microsoft team on this approach and received their approval on the process that is now being used on some SharePoint online dedicated customers.
