Samsung is sponsoring this summer meetup and will be going over the latest news on Samsung mobile devices, the Android and bada platforms as well as how you can utilize their developer programs. They will be bringing some toys to play with during the networking sessions, including their latest tablet to hit the market, the Tab 10.1, which is running Honeycomb 3.1 and their mass market flagship smartphone, the Wave II, running bada 1.2. If you’ve never heard of bada before, it’s Samsung’s smartphone platform that allows developers to create feature-rich applications on their previously closed feature phone environment.

Long story short, Samsung is aiming to bring the smartphone experience to the mass market with a robust, feature-rich, yet affordable mobile platform.

Find out more about Android 3.1 and bada and how you can work with Samsung on July 21st!

We have also now added PhoneGap to present a quick intro about the PhoneGap platform and its community, including its features, tools, supported platforms, and advantages/disadvantages of using PhoneGap vs. native SDKs. There will also be a demo that shows what's possible to do with PhoneGap on Samsung's bada platform, such as accessing acceleration, geographic location (native and browser), network, device and compass information, as well as the built-in camera, all with only Web Technologies!

Pizza and assorted drinks will be served courtesy of Samsung.
