It is such a special treat and an honour to have Eric Weaver with us for the last Vancouver Entrepreneur Meetup of 2009. Eric was recently awarded a Brand Leadership Award for all his work in branding over the years by the World Brand Congress.

There are people who know social media and then there are people who know social media. Eric Weaver would fall into the latter. Eric is a veteran digital strategist who has helped build some of the biggest brands in the US and abroad, including BMW, Bowflex, the Clinton Administration, De Beers, eBay, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, Lincoln, Mattel, the Mayo Clinic, Procter & Gamble (many brands), the US Dept of Commerce, and many more. He has also managed web teams for Ford, Brita, Clorox, MCI, and others, and most recently, he has provided counsel to Starbucks, UPS, Nature's Path Foods, Puget Sound Energy, Microsoft and others on their social marketing efforts.

Eric will be presenting on Social Marketing for Entrepreneur: Why Social Marketing is the New Marketing and Why You Need to Represent.

Because this is the last Vancouver Entrepreneur Meetup of 2009, I am going to mix it up a bit and do something we have never done before. We will be having a mini-tradeshow ? there will be 6 tables up for grab for members to show their service/product. The tables are FREE ? new businesses have top priorities. You need to email me ([address removed] by Tuesday 4:00).

When: Thursday November 19 @ 7pm
Where: 3rd floor, 422 Richards Street
Why: If you don?t know what social media is or understand how to leverage it, you need to come
Cost: FREE (but please bring a bottle of wine or cheese to share with every one)

It?s the time to reconnect with old friends, make some new friends, reminisce about the lessons that this year has taught us and toast to a New Year that is about to begin.

I hope to see ALL of you out.
