First Javascript Meetup

Updates:

  • We'll choose a beer location Wednesday night, since the Alibi Room can't guarantee seats

  • I've opened it up to 40 spaces, but since this is our first time I'm being conservative

The venue, date, and speakers are confirmed! The format will be two presentations, about 45 minutes each, then off for beer and discussion.

  • Thick-client Javascript apps - Allen Pike (Apple)

  • Mobile Javascript with XUI - Brian LeRoux, Rob Ellis, and Brock Whitten (Nitobi)

  • Beer and discussion (Location TBA since The Alibi Room won't take big reservations for just drinks)

Let me know if you'd like to give a future presentation on something Javascript-related, or you have any questions or suggestions.

Good content, good length for the presentations, entertaining presenters.

The first meetup was great! We had a healthy turnout for the first time, the space at the Network Hub worked very well, everybody agreed the presentations were a good length, and beers afterward was a lot of fun. Suggestions for next time were to have more technical talks, which I completely agree with. Thanks to everybody for coming out!

Henry

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
