Blaine Cook is the former Chief Architect of Twitter, and has since worked on open source software at Yahoo and BT. He's in town this week so we rigged a special VanJS to hear him talk.

Blaine will be giving a talk about decentralized social networking, the webfinger protocol, and how JavaScript is the right language to bring these things things to life. Also, by popular request, Brian LeRoux from Nitobi is going to give an intro to the PhoneGap mobile framework.

Agenda:
Decentralized Social Networking and Webfinger: Blaine Cook
Mobile Apps with PhoneGap: Brian LeRoux
Beers afterward

This time we'll be across the street from where we usually are: SFU Segal Centre, at 500 Granville Street and Pender, room 1430.
