Help a skilled immigrant settle into professional life in Canada!
MOSAIC’s Workplace Connections is a volunteer program matching skilled immigrants with Canadian professionals in an informal mentoring relationship for 3 months. Workplace Connections helps immigrants move their careers to Canada. We create mentorships between skilled immigrants and working professionals. It is about relationships, cultural exchange and opening career paths in Canada.
We are actively seeking mentors from all professions, especially IT professionals
This is a great volunteer opportunity if you:

A focus on discussion Partners discuss workplace culture, and professional issues. A focus on action Mentors help their partners gain confidence in job search. They explore career options. They practice interview skills. They build professional networks. How do newcomers benefit? They have a skilled peer to help them apply job search tactics. They gain confidence. They can gain access to hidden professional networks. What do mentors gain? They learn about other cultures. They develop relationships that truly make a difference and help newcomers succeed. What is the commitment? Partners spend a few hours each week for about 3 months. Meeting times and place are flexible.
