Up Week - Top SFU (Burnaby Mtn) - Begintermediate

Welcome to August! This month we'll switch between SFU and Fromme.

This week's ride will climb to the top of SFU!!!!

Riding level: Begintermediate*

We'll head up North Road (maybe add in Dead Moped) then turn up the Trans Canada Trial to the top of SFU. We'll head over to the Naheeno park trail and then over to ride down Gear Jammer, Upper Cut and finishing on Lower Snake.

If you have questions - send me a message or post a comment.

It's a good idea to pack a flashlight or to start bringing your lights - if something happens like a flat tire - you'll be glad to have a light.

*Begintermediates

  • You’ve been mountain biking for at least one year or have decent general riding skills and good fitness.
  • You're capable of controlling bike speed and direction on moderate (green and blue) single-track.
  • You can handle terrain that is slightly technical, with smaller rocks,  roots,  and some drops. You may get off your bike and walk when the terrain gets technical.
  • You can climb on single-track as long as it is not too technical.

I am wondering if anyone rides '13 Giant Trance X3. I am considering my options for new bike and would love to hear a feedback.

We'll usually wait 10 minutes or so depending on how many are missing. You can always catch on the trail up. If you know the route.

Hey Mountain Bikers, A ski/snowboard group is gathering people so we can make a group purchase for Cypress Silver passes. We almost have enough people. It'll be $315 each. Message me if you want in. Here are the details for Silver passes: http://cypressmountain.com/silver-pass

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
