Developer Hack Night

Details

What are we doing?

We are a group of people working on software we're passionate about! Whether you're hacking on a personal side project, contributing to open source, or just learning, everyone is welcome*!

The format is very relaxed. Drop by when you can & leave when you want. We hold an informal standup at 6:30 for people to introduce themselves and share what they are working on.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a laptop and your sparkling personality. Remember this is not a talk event but a night for like minded developers to code, work or discuss their projects.

Do I have to have a project before I can attend?

Nope! If you're not sure what you'd like to work on, someone at the event will probably be able to guide you in the right direction.

What if I'm new and learning Ruby?

Members of our community on rotation will be running a Ruby Helpdesk at the venue space. We'll be there to answer your questions, problems with gems, bugs, etc. (Remember though we aren't going to build your next startup!)

*Can I attend if I am a recruiter/headhunter?

These nights are intended to be a comfortable environment where attendees can work on and discuss software with their peers. We do not welcome recruiters. You will be asked to leave if you arrive with this intention.

I'm downstairs. How do I get up to the Brewhouse office?

Buzz 02 or look up "Brewhouse" on the buzzer.
