The response was really strong, particularly from people who want to learn. Now I'm working on finding enough people to teach them :).
I found a great instructor for the programming novice course, but I'm still looking to find someone for the 'pro' level course.
The typical student here is new to Rails but has a strong programming background in another language. This course can move quicker and cover quite a bit more material than the one targeted at novices. As an instructor this means you'll get to dive into some of the deeper (and arguably more interesting/fun) aspects of the ecosystem beyond building a basic web app.
If you've ever wanted to teach and are really comfortable with Rails and Ruby, please let me know. Teaching is a great way to build your personal brand,
make some side income, help the community, and meet smart people.
As mentioned in my previous email, I'm available to help with course design, instructor training / guidance, and any/all logistics.
