Serenity Springs Farm Animal Sanctuary

Let's go have some fun on the farm! Come help out with farm chores and chill out with the animals of Serenity Springs. You can either drive straight to the sanctuary or arrange a carpool with the other people coming. The potluck will be at Terry's house on the sanctuary property before working. So bring your favorite vegan dish with you! Also if you feel inclined the animals love apples, watermelon, carrots, pumpkins...etc. so feel free to bring treats with you! I always leave before dark since the roads are not lighted and usually arrive back at around 6:30 but you are welcome to arrive and leave whenever you want. For the safety of the children and animals there are no children under 12 allowed at the Sanctuary unless otherwise stated. This is a vegetarian run sanctuary lets give it all the support we can! Please dress in casual clothing you will be working with animals so you might get dirty. I almost forgot, I need to know by Thursday who's carpooling with me. On that subject Shea you may want to talk to Cleia here who has offered to carpool as she is in McKinney as well. Can't wait, weather looks great, looks like it's gonna be a good day!

Hi all. I know life is crazy and unexpected but if you could please make sure to confirm your RSVP by Thursday. Terry (the lady who runs the whole sanctuary) takes time and effort to get things ready for people to come down and it's very helpful for her to know how many people are coming. Thank you!

As for food, I'm bringing sweet potato and black bean burritos! If you end up bringing more food than gets eaten, don't worry you can leave it with Terry, heheh.

Hey Shea, welcome to the group! I'll put you down for the carpool. When it gets closer to the day we'll work out the details with everyone who's going.

Hello all!! My name is Shea. I have always had the interest in becoming Vegan, and cleaned up my diet in August ;) So fun!! The one thing that is hard for me is not having around me who share the same lifestyle. I live in McKinney, and would love to attend this meetup. I look forward to meeting all of you. ;) Joshua, I saw your comment you posted, and I was wondering if I could ride with you?

Hey guys. I'm not sure what I'm going to bring yet since this weather has been so up and down! I can carpool - I can take 3 people - I'm off of 35E in Lewisville if anyone wants to do that, there's usually a few free spots in the guest parking at my apartment. I do tend to stay till 5:30-6 depending on what there is to do and how much breeze I shoot with Terry, LOL, so keep that in mind.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
