As you all can see we have a huge turn out for Vegan Drinks Tonight. Little Bar & Muse have graciously combined efforts to host our fun crowd. You can mingle outside on the patio, around Southern Fried Vegan, etc if it gets too crowded inside. Be sure to patronize Muse & Little Bar, they've really put a lot of effort into hosting us tonight! Even if you aren't a drinker grab a non-alcoholic drink from the bar and everyone be extra kind with tipping for the hard working Vegan Bartenders!
I've hosted about 50 Vegan Drinks and the most important thing to do is come with your SMILE on! We all know the world is falling apart and starvation and disease could be ended in a single day by feeding humans the grains we feed livestock. Vegan Drinks is our event to focus on the happy stuff, its about gushing over your latest vegan purse/shoe/belt/restaurant/grocery/dessert/cosmetic find. Talk about Vegan travels your dreaming about, or have been on, trips to Portland, Thailand, NYC, & where you're going for vegan ice cream later on, etc are all GREAT conversation starters!
Tips for making vegan friends in Los Angeles;
#1. Location; I've got friends back in the midwest I see more often than friends who live on the opposite side of LA! Gravitate towards people in your own solar system!
#2. Common activities; bike riding / hiking / tennis / etc. Make plans to do them together followed by a vegan restaurant
#3. Frequency; The more often you see the same vegan faces the more likely you are to develop lasting friendships. Ask potential friends what are other upcoming vegan/animal rights/health/environmental events/charities they are planning on attending.
Everyone is at Vegan Drinks for the same reason to mix & mingle with like minded individuals. Don't be afraid to join a conversation and simply say "Hi, my name is "________" this is my first Vegan Drinks." Try to listen more than you share, but don't stay buttoned up! Try to move about as much as possible to increase your odds of finding people you "click" with. Its easy to simply say "great meeting you all I'm going to continue my mingling, hope to chat again soon!"
Be safe tonight, we look forward to wonderful event. Carpool if possible & don't let parking or traffic stress you out! We'll be there late, take your time & be great tippers so we're invited back again!
