Hello and good morning to everyone!

I am a new member of the Veggie meetup so I wanted to send out an email to all of you. I am the deli manager at the Whole Foods on Magazine Street so if there is anything that you may be currently looking for that we are not offering or if you have any suggestions, please feel free to pass them along to me. I want to make sure that I am offering a nice variety as well as some nutritious offerings daily!
Also, I will be teaching a healthy eating class for the next two Monday nights at Whole Foods on Magazine at 6:30 pm. The class specifically will focus on meat alternatives where the class in general focuses on minimal salt use, no oil, plant strong and whole grains in dishes.
Please join us and I would love to start some cooking classes that focus on a nutrient-rich, plant-based diet for the community and kids too. You can email me through the Veggie meetup or call me at Whole Foods and ask for Christy in the Prepared Foods department. I am happy to be available for you!

Thanks and I look forward to sharing information that we are all passionate about with one another!

Have a great day!

Dear Friends,

Please welcome the NOLA Green Roots, Rickie and a belated welcome to Rochelle.  We now have 546 members! For those of you new to our group, we welcome you and hope you will participate in our programs and outings.

The Humane Society of Louisiana is the primary sponsor of the New Orleans Veggie Society.  We operate a no-kill sanctuary in Tylertown, Mississippi, oversee 12 chapters throughout the state and formed a humane education program last year.  Last week members of our pet care education team visited the S. Broad Boys/Girls Club.   I would like to see a similar veggie education team formed so that we can also visit schools and educate students about the benefits of a nutrient-rich, plant-based diet.  Those of you who are interested in forming this pro-veggie educational team can contact me at [address removed].
