~ Embracing a Healthier, Sustainable, Compassionate and Peaceful Way of Eating and Living ~
Earthsave Baltimore hosts these monthly Veg/Vegan restaurant gatherings and invites all who are interested in moving toward a healthier, earth-friendly diet and lifestyle.
- Reminder - This group is being phased out because we no longer see a reason to have separate vegetarian and vegan groups. Both are part of the same movement toward a healthier, more sustainable, compassionate and peaceful way of eating and living. Please join Baltimore Veg/Vegan Meetup. www.meetup.com/baltimoreveg-vegan/
Our group meets at various locations. We especially enjoy the food and atmosphere of Taj Palace, 9419 Common Brook Rd, Owings Mills, MD, 21117, which has a large private room that's perfect for our discussions. The buffet at Taj Palace is just $19, and features a good number of vegan and veg options. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful with questions.
Discussion topics: You’re invited to tell us a little about yourself and what got you interested in veg/vegan/plant-based ideals and lifestyle. Feel free to share a success story, observation, inspiration, favorite quote, or announcement.
You can also RSVP in the Earthsave Baltimore Facebook group and invite your friends. RSVP on Facebook at Earthsave Baltimore www.meetup.com/vegetarian-9/

There’s a NEW VENUE for the Earthsave Baltimore vegan potluck dinner/speaker series. Our February 22nd potluck event will be held at the North Baltimore Mennonite Church at 4615 Roland Ave. in Baltimore, 21210. There’s no church parking lot, but neighborhood parking is rarely a problem. Mealtime starts promptly at 6:15. Please invite your Facebook Friends www.facebook.com/groups/EarthsaveBaltimore/
Event themes will vary. Some potlucks will feature a speaker, some will have live music or other talent, and others will be about getting to know each other. We also host monthly restaurant gatherings.
Our vegan potluck on April 26th will feature a talk on THE SPIRITUALITY OF VEGANISM by Bhavna Ambalavanan. Bhavna left the corporate world as software designer and immersed herself in exploring spiritualty through practices in various religious and spiritual traditions including Hindu nonduality, Theravada Buddhism & mindfulness, Shamanism, Christianity and more.
Bhavna (which means meditation) says the vegan journey is not just about behavioral changes, but about the deeper emotional and psychological aspects of these fundamental shifts. How can we practice self-care, compassion, and nonjudgment towards ourselves and others as a vegan? Hope you will join us.MONTHLY VEGAN POTLUCKS: Guests are asked to bring a dish made without animal products that will serve 8 or more. And the attendance fee is $5. If you’d like to bring food just for yourself or attend without eating, the fee is $5. And if you wish to enjoy the potluck without bringing a dish, the fee is $20.
