Verge Winter 2011 Meetup

We're here! And we're coming at you next week with our big Winter 2011 event.

We’re bringing it back to DeveloperTown for an epic event that’s lining up three hot startups you'll want to hear about:

  • Quipol, a cool social polling platform
  • Knomingo, a unique video community
  • uFlavor, a custom beverage startup, which will be launching to the world at this event!

All who can make it will get to hear from the founders of each of these three companies. You’ll learn more about their business, their product, and their strategy and get to engage in live Q&A in our lighting-round sessions.

Registration limit for this event is still set at our usual 200. If we completely fill up on the first day, I'll see if there's anything we can do to add a few more spots.

Keep an eye out on our startup news blog for some exclusive interviews as well as news about giveaways a this Winter 2011 event. See you there!

At only two years old, Verge Indy is where it is at...and the DeveloperTown partnership makes too much sense. The future is bright and Verge is at the heart of it! Congrats!

The event was definitely a success. I enjoyed the presentations--especially Max Yoder's presentation on his startup, Quipol--and it was really great to catch up with everyone. However, I think the music was too loud. It made it very difficult to have conversations.

It was great to hear the 3 pitches, however it wasn't quite what I expected. I didn't know if the main point of the meetup was the pitches, or if it was to come and network with the other people standing around. The venue, the ideas and everything have really great potential. I would simply like to know what to expect a little more clearly next time.

My first Verge experience, and definitely not my last.

Really enjoyed catching up with everyone and watching the presentations. We really have a genuinely supportive startup community. Plus, the pizza was really good.
  • John Livingston
Loved it... looking forward to next months meeting.
  • Lorraine Ball
Loved the energy in the room. Great conversations. It is fun to see how much the startup community has grown. One suggestion, maybe take the music down just a notch.. to make it easier to have a meaningful conversation
  • Bob Walker
    Good as always.
  • David Dubree
Great event. Enjoyed meeting everyone. Difficult to hold a conversation with the music volume. Name tags maybe?
  • Polina Osherov
Great energy! Great time! Just need to invest in one of those air horn thingies to get everyone to quiet down for the presentations. ;-)
  • Bill Redmond
Always great new ideas! Fun to see what's new.

Too crowded, and too loud. The music was way too loud, therefore everyone had to shout at each other even when presentations began. Didn't know pizza would be $4 either. I didn't have cash. I'll continue to support this, these are merely suggestions to help. Great job. Thanks!
  • John Deines
Interesting content... Think there needs to be a greater distinction between the pitches and the networking.
  • Eric Siegmann
Great venue, positive attitude among attendees, compelling presentations - will absolutely keep Verge meetups on my radar - Thanks!
  • Jon Nolen
the bus really tied the room together.
  • Tony Ratliff
Again, another Great Verge Event! Loved the pitches and the energy in the room.

Fun event. I liked the programming porting (the three pitches from start-ups). It was too loud to have a conversation, and since this was my first time and I didn't know anyone, it made it that much more difficult to have a conversation.
  • Chris Waugh
Always great to hear about the amazing ideas and startups in Indy
  • Emily Hoover
I think it was great and all but if we are supposed to be networking can we turn the music down a little next time?
  • Matthew A. Griffith
Sound is really bad. How about speaker equipment for people in the back.
  • Justin Kime
    Awesome presenters and great conversation.
