What to Do for Tonight's Year-End Startup Party

Matt H.
Group Organizer
Indianapolis, IN
Ho Ho Ho!

I hope you have your boots strapped on tight because we're going to get things moving at tonight's event with 3 presentations, starting with two 5-minute "pitches":

  • Matt Hunckler (yours truly) will do a quick review of 2012 and preview of next year
  • Mike Langellier, President at TechPoint, chat about some of the big things that are happening in Tech in Indiana (and how you can get involved)
  • Then, we'll have a fireside chat with partners at DeveloperTown and the Speak Easy. I'm looking forward to learning more about what it took to start those startup spaces and what we can expect in 2013!

I'm still looking for more to include in our slideshow and we want to feature you and your business. So...

Tell us what your biggest startup accomplishment was this year.

Just reply to this email with your name and twitter handle (include a photo if appropriate). Or tweet to us at @vergeindy with the hashtag #vergestartups. We'll include a handful of our community's biggest wins in our presentation and rotating slide deck this evening.

Bring a white elephant gift (optional)

For those looking to get a few more jollies, there will be a self organized "white elephant" gift exchange. Bring (or gift) an item wrapped to exchange to participate. No limits, no rules. Thanks to Verge member, Jeremy Houchens for this idea!

Tonight's Sponsors:

Our long-standing Verge sponsors (along with a couple of wonderful new supporters) made this all possible, so be sure to say thanks on twitter or when you see them tonight:

Here are other details you might be interested in...

We'll have pizza from Marco's available for all attendees. And you know that our friends from Upland are going to be there to pour us some frosty beverages. Water will be available too, if hydration is your thing.

How to find us:

The Speakeasy entrance is on the south side of the same building as DeveloperTown at 5255 N. Winthrop (just south of Good Morning Mamas). It's a nondescript metal door, and we'll be ushering people in starting at 5:30 PM.

We'll open up the DeveloperTown side of the building for tours, beers, and ping pong after the presentations.

That's it. I'll see you there (or in the twitter feed #VergeStartups or on Facebook)!
