Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to let all of you know of a very special upcoming event.  The Very Vegetarian Society will be sponsoring Dr. Will Tuttle to give a free lecture/presentation on his book, The World Peace Diet, on May 15th at 6:30 PM at Little Creek Recreation Center, 610 Foxcroft Dr., Winston-Salem, NC.  His lecture will emphasize veganism/ ethical eating and compassion.

Dr. Tuttle is an award-winning author, speaker, educator, professional pianist, and composer.  A former Zen monk and vegan since 1980, Dr. Tuttle is devoted to cultural healing and awakening. He is a recipient of a Peace Abbey Courage of Conscience award and is the co-founder, with Judy Carman, of the Circle of Compassion and the Worldwide Prayer Circle for Animals.  He now travels full-time with his wife Madeleine, a Swiss visionary artist, in their solar-paneled rolling home, and presents over 150 lectures, retreats, workshops, and concerts annually.

Dr. Tuttle is most famous for his book, The World Peace Diet:  Eating for Spiritual Health and Social Harmony, which became a #1 Amazon best-seller in March, 2010.  His book has been called one of the most important books of the 21st century:  “the foundation of a new society based on the truth of the interconnectedness of all life.” The World Peace Diet suggests how we as a species might move our consciousness forward so that we can be more free, more intelligent, more loving, and happier in the choices we make. For more information, visit his website at http://worldpeacediet.org.

I hope you all can make it!  This is an amazing opportunity that doesn’t come around often!  Please visit our website to RSVP: http://www.meetup.com/veryvege/events/61027892/

Also, if anyone would like to help out with vegan refreshments, please let me know by replying to this email. Thanks.

Colleen
