Best Practices for Social Media

Details
At this Victoria Web Marketing Meetup we will be discussing the Best Practices you should be using on Social Media. This Meetup will be hosted by Victoria’s own Social Media Guru, Janis La Couvée from 6-7:30 pm on April 3rd at Accent Inns.
Social Media Best Practices
Our online world and social media are constantly evolving, and our best practices change as a result. Janis will discuss some overarching best practices to build a solid foundation for maintaining an online social presence including:
• The 3 Vs – values, value, and voice
• Etiquette regarding copyright and disclosure
• Practices for connecting with the community, meeting new people
This presentation on Best Practices for Social Media grew out of Janis’ two previous talks.
• The 3 Vs - value, value and voice (http://www.ideawave.ca/2012-conference/the-3-vs-of-differentiation-for-community-business-and-life/) (IdeaWave 2012)
• Disclosures, attribution and copyright (http://janislacouvee.com/word-camp-victoria-2012-presentation-disclosures-disclaimers-and-copyright/) (presented with Brenda Johima at WordCamp 2012).
