VGN Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and Injustice Tournament + Prize Drawing

What: Come and participate in VGNDallas's first Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and Injustice Gods Among Us tournaments, and interact with some of the other VGN gamers. Get a chance to meet and play players of other fighting games such as SSFIVAE, KOFXIII, Soul Calibur V, Smash Bros. Brawl/Melee/Project M, Ultimate Dead Or Alive 5, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, etc.

There will be 2 360 setups for tournament matches, then at least 2 screens for PS3, Wii, PS4, ONE, or 360 casual matches. You can bring a console and/or copies of whichever games you want to play on the casual screens.

Date & Time: 3-29-14; sign ups and warm-up matches @ 5:30pm; UMVC3 Tournament @ 6p; Injustice Tournament @ approx. 8:30p

Location: CGX (Console Game Exchange) in Collin Creek Mall

Console: XBOX 360 (Contact the VGN Rep if you're a PS3 player and might need to use a PS3/PS2 controller with a converter. The Cronus converter is banned.)

Venue/Hosting Fee: $2 (All casual gaming is free)

Tournament Entry Fee: $5 each tournament (All casual gaming is free)

Prizes: Cash pot (Includes all tournament entry fees); Payout = 70%/30% for 1st/2nd place; (All participants in the tournament will receive an entry into a drawing for a prize to be determined)

Structure (Each Tournament): Maximum 16 player bracket; Double-Elimination; Best of 3 matches(Best of 5 matches for finals)

Note: You are recommended to bring you own controller or arcade stick. It is not guaranteed there will be any extras available. Once the 16 tournament spots for each tournament are filled, RSVP/the option to reserve a spot will be closed. You can still attend the event to spectate, play casually, or mingle, but are not guaranteed entry into the tournament. You can also post a comment to this event requesting to be put on a waitlist in case someone drops their RSVP/spot.

Perks: All participants in the tournament will receive an entry into a drawing for a prize(TBD). There's also a food court a short distance from the CGX inside the mall.
