vagrant in 2 minutes by Sebastian Göttschkes

vagrant aims at automating your virtual development environment. This 2 minute talk tells you why you should use vagrant.

Web Performance 101 by Michael Kröll

Web Performance 101" will provide an introduction on the topic of Web
Performance providing answers to questions like: What is it? Why is it
relevant? How is it done? Which tools are available to support it?

Apache vs. Nginx by Jakob Oberhummer

A round-trip through web-servers (Apache, Nginx, lightHTTP, lightspeed), how they work, workers/events/threadbased, a short history to each of them, performance differences, pros and cons, tweaks and useful tips.

Grunt.js for PHP Developers by Florian Eckerstorfer

Grunt.js is a task runner written in JavaScript that everyone is talking about. It is not only hip, but also highly extensible which makes it a great choice for any kind of language. Considering that most PHP projects have frontend related tasks (Sass/Less compilation, minification, concatenation and so on) it makes even more sense to use a modular and extensible solution that fits all kind of tasks. My mini talk will give you a short introduction how Grunt.js works and how you can use it in your PHP projects.

After Gathering Party by Stockwerk

After the gathering we will have a little party in the kitchen/bar of Stockwerk in the 1. floor, having some drinks and snacks and socializing.
