Join Vingt Paris for a Paris Photo’s round-table discussion at Institut du Monde Arabe (IMA).
Paris Photo 2009 has chosen Arab and Iranian photography as its guest of honor this year. They will be joining “Les Jeudis de l’IMA” (Thursdays conferences at Arab World Institute) to present the round-table discussion, ”Spotlight on the Arab and Iranian scene “.

The debate will be lead by the writer and journalist Catherine David around the major characteristics of the contemporary Arab and Iranian scene. Invited guests include: Yasser Alwan (photographer, Cairo), Yto Barrada (photographer, Tanger), Bahman Jalali (photographer, Iran), Walid Raad (Lebanese artist, teacher at Cooper Union NY, founding member of the Arab Image Foundation in Beirut), Maria Gola (author of « Cairo, City of Sand » (2004) and « Photography and Egypt » (2009)).
Join us for a mint tea at the panoramic restaurant “Le Zyriab” at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy one of the best panoramic views in Paris. After, we will go on to the auditorium to enjoy the round-table at 6 :30 p.m.
