"Handy Helpers" Needed to Spruce up Clintonville CRC new-found Home on HIgh St

CALLING ALL "HANDY HELPERS"! CRC NEEDS YOU!

This is Meetup has IS NEED of Volunteers to sign up to help~Will you please consider lending a couple hours of work time to CRC?

This is an exciting opportunity for all of those Volunteer Connections members who have asked for "manual labor" and "getting your hands dirty" and "making a real difference"...This one's for You!

This opportunity comes from Volunteer Connections member, Kathleen Horrigan, who will be coordinating this 'big' project: Improvements at the new home of the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center.

Often referred to as the CRC; this storied organization provides many needed services to the community. They recently had the opportunity to move in to a larger space; across the street from their original location which now houses their food pantry and other services, allowing them to expand. While the move is complete, the interior of the building is not. And, CRC is in need of many volunteer "extra hands" to help complete the work.

Calling all Volunteer Connections "Handy Helpers"!

First Volunteer Shift begins at 10 am and will go until 1 pm. (You are welcome to work the entire day if you want.) Upon arrival at the CRC, please check in at: 3222 N. High St., Clintonville in the Conference Room near the front door

Wear work clothes and something that you don't mind getting paint on.

We will need volunteers for the following:

• Painting (great for anyone)

• Installing faucets * vanities * lighting fixtures

• Installing chair rail with wainscoting and plate rail

• Installing floor tile

• Installing Electric fireplace

Can you share any of the tools necessary for installation of each item (i.e., paint brushes, rollers, paint trays, one ladder, two step stools, rags)? If you have tools, and are comfortable sharing them for use by others, please bring them. If you have your own tools that you are most comfortable using (yourself), please feel free to bring those.

Refreshments will be served.

In the coming weeks; the folks at CRC will be putting a list of items needed to complete this project, in their next newsletter. But, Volunteer Connections would like to share that list with you now. If you have a "connection" to a business that sells any of these items, and might be able to help obtain donations any of these items ahead of the work day, please contact the Volunteer Connections organizer. To complete this project, CRC is looking for:

__Bathroom light fixture (2)

__Bathroom vanity (2)

__Bench for Ladies Powder Room (1)

__Bathroom Tile (120 sqft) Neutral color

__Chair Rail - 144 linear feet

__Pine Cove - 500 linear feet to be used as picture frame for the wainscoting

__PVC Brick Mold or Crown to be used as Plate Rail - 110 linear feet
