4 More Days!!If you haven't heard we have a NEW Meeting Locaiton - and a new DATE. We are changing our meetings to the THIRD Saturday of each month and we will be meeting at the Olmsted Community Chuch at 7 PM on January 16th. (see www.svohio.org for details).

Come on.... aren't you a little bit curious about what our new meeting place looks like? Don't you want to start the new year out by making new friends - that is the reason why you signed up for the Single Volunteer Meetup Group - Right??? We promise you'll have a good time! And... you don't want to miss our celebration - do you? Single Volunteers will be celebrating 13 years of Volunteering at this meeting - 13 years of hundreds of volunteer hours. We have much to be proud about - and much to celebrate. REMINDER: We are collecting non-perishables for the Hunger Center - let's knock their socks off with a HUGE collection.

VOLUNTEER: South Hills Lend-A-Hand - Please join us as we pack bags for distribution at a local food bank serving the communities of Broadview Hts., Brecksville, Independence and Seven Hills. The facility is located in Building 21, which is one of the Broadview Hts. Community Center Auxiliary buildings off of Broadview and Oakes Roads. Contact Sheryl at [address removed] or[masked]-3928.

VOLUNTEER: RONALD McDONALD HOUSE DINNER & GAME NIGHT (10415 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland) - - Ronald McDonald House is a place for families to stay while their child is being treated by one of our world famous hospitals. Bring your favorite main dish or dessert to help provide a great meal for the families. All should be prepared beforehand and ready to warm up. Meet at Ronald McDonald House at 5:00 & eat with the families around 5:30 - 6:00. Bring your favorite family/kid game so we can give the parents a little time to relax while we entertain the siblings of the sick child..PLEASE CONTACT MARY ELLEN BY 1/13/10 SO WE CAN COORDINATE THE FOOD PROVIDED. SOCIAL: Dinner & Live Music Join us for an all-you-can-eat Fish Fry ($8.95) followed by Live entertainment by Tumbling Dice (classic rock) at Doc & Louie's Bar & Grill at 24280 Lorain Rd. (betw. Clague & Great No. Blvd/next to Buckeye Bowling Lanes) in North Olmsted. Other food is also available on the menu, with live music starting at 9:00 p.m. Come for dinner -or- come after to hear band & dance.... Women's Domestic Violence Center: Single volunteers will be cooking and serving dinner for the residents and children. Pat at [address removed]. The food will be provided for us to cook , but if you could bring a dessert to share, that would be terrific.

SINGLE VOLUNTEERS Monthly Meeting and Social - there are lots of new things going on!!!, NEW Location, NEW Date!! SOCIAL: --Wow!! I've found an awesome Thursday Night Dinner Special at Mulligan's Restaurant for only $3.99. This pork chop dinner includes salad and round potatoes. I've never been there before but the advertisement sounds good. They have flat screen TVs and nice amenities. Mulligans, 20880 Royalton Road, Strongsville. We will once again be collecting Non-Perishable food items for the Olmsted Community Church Food Pantry at each social event.
