Opening Celebration of SF's New "Hidden Garden Steps"

Free. We will meet in front of a Starbucks near Irving and 9th Avenue, and then walk as a group over to the opening celebrations of the new "Hidden Garden Steps." One should bring food to eat at the celebration. It is the second mosaic stairway in that neighborhood. The first one known simply as "The Mosaic Stairway," at 16th Ave. & Moraga, is one of the best mosaic stairways on Earth. Also, meeting in front of this Starbucks will give us a chance to talk together about different things such as the SF Botanical Gardens as we walk over to the celebration about 8 blocks away. This Starbucks is right next to the N Judah Rail Line.

The below information was provided to us from our member Sherry Boschert who helped make the Hidden Garden Steps the big success it is today:

YOU'RE INVITED to an opening celebration of the Hidden Garden Steps stairway mosaic on Saturday, December 7 from 12 noon to 4 pm.

12:00-2:00 pm Bring a dish or drinks and share a potluck meal

1:00-1:30 pm Ribbon cutting ceremony and bubble blowing (BYOBubbles)

1:30-2:30 pm A fire engine from Station 22 visits (Climb on it!)

The steps were great and the neighborhood organization and celebration were impressive.....one which we should all try to emulate.
    Thanks, Howard.

Our group didn't stay together once we got to the block party, but the mosaic steps were lovely, and it was fun joining the sing-along and getting to climb in the fire truck!

I'm so sorry I can't attend. I have the dreaded winter cold. I'm so selfish … I don't want anyone else to have it.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
