About Web2NewYork (New York Web Entrepreneurs)

I have been organizing monthly web entrepreneur meetups since March 2006. Over that period the name has changed several times from New York Web Entrepreneurs Meetup to Web 2.0 Business Meetup and now Web2NewYork.

At my meetups I try to balance short presentations (from 7.00 to 8.00 pm) with informal networking (after 8.00 pm). My aim is to bring back some of the fun (and occassional decadence) from the Silicon Alley/dotcom heyday.

The target audience for the Web2NewYork meetups is founders of web companies and media/advertising professionals. This is not exclusively a technology group. I want the meetups to reflect New York web business, technology meeting Madison Avenue and Wall Street.
